"Yantai-Djibouti" general cargo international route officially launched.

Recently, a foreign trade ship carrying 21,000 tons of engineering machinery set sail from Yantai Port in Shandong Port heading to Djibouti, marking the official opening of the "Yantai-Djibouti" international general cargo route.
Djibouti is located at the Horn of Africa, with nearly 20,000 ships passing through annually. It serves as a maritime trade hub connecting Asia, Africa, and Europe. Yantai Port has established an integrated full supply chain system of "domestic collection and distribution—ocean shipping—Djibouti transshipment," reducing overall social logistics costs by 30% and facilitating the official opening of the "Yantai-Djibouti" African general cargo route. During operations, with the support of digital supply chain platforms, intelligent tallying, and smart loading systems, overall operational efficiency has increased by 24.8%.
As of now, Yantai Port has opened a total of 36 international general cargo routes, continuously injecting strong port momentum into "Made in China" ventures abroad and the high-quality joint construction of the "Belt and Road Initiative."
