CCS Shanghai Branch and Fuxing Shipping Work Together to Tackle the "Haigangdian 01" Project

Recently, the Shanghai Branch of China Classification Society (CCS) and Shanghai Port Fuxing Shipping Co., Ltd. held a signing ceremony for a joint party-building initiative and a kick-off meeting for the "Harbor Electric 01" pure electric tugboat project under the theme "Party Building Leads, Deepening Green Intelligence, and Strengthening Efforts to Build an International Shipping Center."

At the meeting, both parties conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on the overall progress of the "Harbor Electric 01" project, the review of the pure electric tugboat design, inspections, and related regulatory requirements. Representatives from each party branch shared their work ideas and specific measures for project collaboration guided by party-building principles. Six party branch secretaries officially signed the "Party-Building Joint Agreement." The agreement specifies that the "Harbor Electric 01" project will serve as a platform to establish a full-chain party-building collaboration mechanism covering "design review—construction—inspection—service," solidly advancing joint organization, co-hosted activities, collaborative project promotion, and joint talent development. The two parties jointly formed a party member task force to focus on key milestones such as design review, construction commencement, launch, sea trials, and delivery, while establishing four work mechanisms: quarterly joint meetings, key milestone breakthroughs, daily communication, and shared results summaries, ensuring the project progresses efficiently and orderly.

This joint initiative is a pragmatic measure by the Shanghai Branch to collaborate with Fuxing Company, using party-building leadership to drive key project breakthroughs. It pioneers a new model of "party-building leadership, project-driven, multi-party collaboration" that integrates party-building with business operations. By embedding party-building efforts into the entire project chain, it effectively transforms the political and organizational advantages of the party into a strong driving force for project advancement. This approach not only leverages the professional strengths of both the Shanghai Branch and Fuxing Company to ensure the construction quality and safety of the pure electric tugboat but also facilitates deeper technical cooperation in the field of green intelligent vessels.
