Guangxi conducts its first full pilotage operation from seaport to inland port.
On September 3, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Pilotage Center (referred to as Guangxi Pilotage Center) organized a full-route pilotage operation from seaport to inland river port. This was the first time Guangxi Pilotage Center conducted pilotage operations on the Pinglu Canal.

The piloted vessel this time, "Guangxing 798," is 84 meters long, 18 meters wide, and has a draft of 3.2 meters. Guangxi Pilotage Center dispatched two first-class pilots and one second-class pilot, who boarded the vessel at Berth No. 1, Dalinping South, in Qinzhou Port. They adopted a segmented guidance model to carry out cross-waterway full-route pilotage, ensuring the vessel's safe navigation through the Pinglu Canal to the Liujing operation area of Nanning Port.
This operation successfully established a direct pilotage route from Qinzhou Port through the Pinglu Canal to Nanning Port, achieving seamless full-route pilotage between Guangxi's seaports and inland river ports. It further streamlined the sea-river water transport system and provided valuable operational experience for sea-river navigation on the Pinglu Canal. Guangxi will use this pilotage as an opportunity to systematically summarize practical experience, optimize and improve the operational processes and technical standards for direct sea-river pilotage, continuously enhance cross-waterway pilotage safety capabilities, and contribute to the high-quality development of water transport in the New Western Land-Sea Corridor.
