Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding has delivered Grimaldi’s sixth pure car and truck carrier.

On March 11, 2025, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Group, successfully delivered the sixth 9000-parking car carrier to Italian shipping company GRIMALDI, named "Grande Seoul. The delivery ceremony was witnessed by the shipowner, China Shipbuilding Industry Trading Co., Ltd. and representatives of the shipyard. The ship has advanced technical specifications, with a total length of 199.90 meters, a width of 38 meters, a design draft of 9.2 meters, and a speed of 19 knots. Its power core adopts MAN B & W 7S60MEC10.6-HPSCR main engine, and meets the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Tier II/III emission regulations, reflecting the design concept of environmental protection and high efficiency. This delivery is an important node in a series of cooperation projects between Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding and GRIMALDI, which not only demonstrates the construction strength and performance capability of China's shipbuilding industry in the field of high-end and complex ship types, but also strengthens the commercial cooperation between China and Italy in the field of shipping and shipbuilding.
