On August 15th, the sensing and transmission networks of the Pinglu Canal were completed, paving the way for its operational launch in September. As a core project of the Western China Sea-Land New Corridor, these systems ensure precise command delivery during peak traffic or extreme weather. The "sensing network" integrates over ten technologies, such as VDES, VHF, radar, and video monitoring, to build a comprehensive monitoring system across land, water, and air. Meanwhile, the transmission network provides real-time, reliable data flow through a 262-kilometer fiber optic backbone, supported by a dual-engine "5G private network + edge computing" architecture. Together, these networks deliver smart operation capabilities, ensuring intelligent navigation, maintenance, and emergency management.
