In the first two months of this year, inbound and outbound international ships at Shanghai Port hit a record high.

In the first two months of this year, international shipping and air transport at Shanghai Port showed an active trend. According to statistics from Shanghai Customs, the number of inbound and outbound international ships reached 7281, a year-on-year increase of 2.4 percent, a record high; the number of inbound and outbound aircraft 41000, a year-on-year increase of 1.2 percent. Specifically, during the Spring Festival, Nangang Wharf was busy, and there was a scene of five foreign trade ro-ro ships berthing at the same time. In terms of green energy application, Yangshan Port filled 3643 tons of domestic green methanol for the international ship "Dafei Osmim", setting a new record for China's single injection. The air cargo network has been expanded, and Italian Mediterranean Air Cargo has opened its first route at Pudong Airport, strengthening the cargo link between China and Europe. In terms of air passenger transport, Pudong Airport Customs has improved the customs clearance experience of passengers by optimizing the health quarantine and baggage inspection processes, and implementing convenient measures such as self-service handling of departure tax rebates. In the first two months, the number of inbound and outbound passengers at Shanghai Port reached 6.92 million, an increase of 1.5 percent over the same period last year. The overall data reflects the continuous improvement of the operational efficiency, green transformation efforts and customs clearance facilitation level of Shanghai Port.
