Green Shipping Chain AI Cloud Platform Officially Launches
Recently, the 2026 Qingdao International Shipping Week · Green Intelligent Shipping High-Quality Development Forum was successfully held at the Qingdao International Shipping Center. The "Green Shipping Chain AI Integrated Cloud Management Platform" was officially released by the No. 711 Research Institute of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, Qingdao Branch of China Classification Society, Shandong Shipping, and Shandong Maritime Safety Administration. Wang Feng, Director of the No. 711 Research Institute, attended the forum.
The Green Shipping Chain AI Cloud Platform leverages the core advantages of the No. 711 Research Institute in AI computing power and domestically developed cloud infrastructure, deeply integrating intelligent ship control algorithms and dynamic models to achieve digital twins for all Shandong Shipping vessels. The platform can access meteorological and sea condition data in real-time, allowing management personnel to view the entire situation via the cloud headquarters' large screen, regardless of the ship's location, truly achieving "one screen overview, informed decision-making."
In terms of intelligent management, the platform completely breaks down data barriers between people, machines, objects, and funds, transforming the management model from the traditional "human monitoring ships" to an efficient "data-driven" approach, significantly improving operational efficiency. Additionally, the platform incorporates the independently developed intelligent ship control algorithms of the No. 711 Research Institute, providing intelligent collision avoidance decisions for navigation in complex sea conditions, effectively balancing punctual port arrivals with energy conservation and emission reduction.
In terms of green and low-carbon development, the platform is equipped with the ship dynamic model constructed by the No. 711 Research Institute, simplifying complexity through AI, accurately tracking carbon emissions, and benchmarking against international standards. This provides scientific support for the green and efficient operation of the fleet, helping Shandong Shipping accelerate its green transformation under the "dual carbon" goals.
Moreover, the platform has successfully connected with the maritime regulatory system, achieving direct data linkage between government and enterprises, further strengthening the safety baseline for navigation and laying a solid foundation for building a six-in-one domestic big data technology ecosystem encompassing "government, industry, academia, research, application, and management."
The release of this platform is another important practice by the No. 711 Research Institute in actively implementing the national "dual carbon" strategy and promoting the green intelligent transformation of the shipping industry. In the future, the No. 711 Research Institute will continue to leverage its research and development advantages in intelligent ship technology, collaborate with industry partners, and empower shipping with digital intelligence, jointly writing a new chapter for China's green intelligent shipping.
