During the 2026 Spring Festival, the passenger traffic volume of the "mini three links" across the Taiwan Strait increased by more than 30% year on year.

During the 2026 Spring Festival holiday, the cross-strait "mini three links" passenger routes ushered in a peak of travel, sending a total of 47000 passengers, a sharp increase of 33.14 percent over the same period last year, reflecting the increased activity of cross-strait personnel exchanges. During the same period, the overall waterway passenger transport along the coast of Fujian performed well, sending a total of 2.2767 million passengers, an increase of 17.57 percent over the same period last year. Among them, Putian Meizhou Island passenger route sent 522000 passengers, and Xiamen Lujiang night tour and other sea cruise passenger routes sent 209400 passengers, an increase of 8.5 and 15.25 percent, respectively. In order to cope with the peak passenger flow and the complex sea conditions in winter, the Fujian Maritime Safety Administration has strengthened daily organization and dispatch and 24-hour duty, in-depth investigation of hidden risks, and implemented level management and control of major hazard sources, effectively preventing the impact of severe weather such as strong winds and heavy fog. It ensured that no water traffic accidents occurred along the coast of Fujian during the Spring Festival holiday, and ensured the safety and smoothness of transportation.
