China Merchants Group's intelligent ships make new moves.
On September 15, China Merchants Group held a Ship Intelligence Achievements Release Conference in Beijing, officially unveiling the full-stack technology system independently developed by China Merchants Intelligent Technology under China Merchants Shipping. Over 150 representatives from government management departments, industry associations, universities, research institutions, and port and shipping enterprises attended the event.

It is understood that the ship intelligence achievements released this time are digital infrastructure developed by China Merchants Group to address pain points such as the lack of unified industry system protocols and standards, information silos, scattered data, and inefficient operations caused by deep binding of software and hardware. The core goal is to achieve efficient cross-platform and multi-system collaboration, build a "unified digital foundation for the entire ship," promote interconnection of various onboard equipment, integrate and aggregate all ship data, and facilitate rapid iteration of intelligent ship applications. Relying on four core technological capabilities—underlying security protection, reliable communication in complex environments, unified data standard models, and flexible adaptation of elastic architecture—this achievement forms a full-stack solution system encompassing operating systems, IoT networks, digital foundations, and cloud training platforms. It provides an open and barrier-free intelligent system foundation for the entire industry, laying a solid technical foundation for various intelligent ship applications.
Chairman Miao Jianmin of China Merchants Group stated that the ship intelligence achievements serve as the "navigation brain" and "control center" of intelligent ships. They represent an important practice in tackling the "core technology" of intelligent ships and are a landmark achievement in advancing the Group's "third entrepreneurship." This achievement has established a full-stack technology system of "chip—operating system—application," demonstrating excellent performance in intelligent navigation, intelligent energy efficiency, and intelligent operations and maintenance.
In addition, the Ship Intelligence Ecosystem Co-construction Project was officially launched at the conference. China Merchants Group will uphold the philosophy of "building the ecosystem together, promoting development together, and winning the future together," joining hands with all parties in the industry chain to open a new chapter in the construction of the ship intelligence ecosystem.

Relevant officials from the Equipment Industry Department II of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Maritime Safety Administration of the Ministry of Transport, China Classification Society, and the China Shipbuilding Industry Association attended the event and delivered speeches.
