On September 15, CITIC Group unveiled groundbreaking advancements in smart ship technology in Beijing, developed by CITIC Zhike under CITIC Shipbuilding. Addressing industry challenges such as fragmented standards, inefficient maintenance, and isolated data, this technology enables seamless cross-platform coordination, creating a "unified digital foundation" for vessels to efficiently connect and integrate data. The comprehensive solution encompasses operating systems, IoT networks, digital platforms, and cloud training tools, accelerating the development of smart ship applications. CITIC Chairman Miao Jianmin highlighted these innovations as crucial to intelligent maritime operations, describing them as the "sailing brain" and "control center" of ships. This initiative aligns with CITIC's strategic vision for its "third entrepreneurship wave." During the event, CITIC also launched the Smart Ship Ecosystem initiative, bringing together industry stakeholders to promote collaborative maritime development. Distinguished representatives from China's Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Transport, ship certification bodies, and associations attended to celebrate this milestone achievement.
