The China-Europe Railway Express (Shenyang) Consolidation Center has marked its third anniversary of operation, having dispatched over 2,300 train services.
China News Service, Shenyang, March 4 (Yu Haiyang, Yang Qianqian) On March 4, at the cargo yard of the China-Europe Railway Express (Shenyang) Assembly Center, gantry cranes were constantly lifting and lowering, containers were precisely stacked, and rows of fully loaded "steel camel teams" were ready to depart. Starting from March 2023, this national-level China-Europe Railway Express Assembly Center, the only one in Northeast China, has officially marked its third anniversary of operation.
In the dispatch command hall of the Shenyang Railway Logistics Center, on-duty dispatcher Wang Zilin was organizing the priority loading of a train. He told reporters that now the highest daily round-trip operation reaches 9 trains, with a daily loading capacity of 4 trains, and an annual operational capacity of over 1,500 trains. Over the past three years, the assembly center has cumulatively operated over 2,300 round-trip trains, transported more than 220,000 TEUs of goods, and served over 2,000 domestic and international enterprises. From a monthly average of dozens of trains to a daily maximum of 9 trains, the Shenyang China-Europe Railway Express has achieved remarkable "acceleration."
"Our independently developed railway logistics information platform enables real-time data sharing. We are the first in the country to embed customs supervision rules into station operation processes, improving customs clearance efficiency by over 50%. The 'Four Priorities' principle—priority transportation, priority empty container allocation, priority loading, and priority dispatch—runs through every operational step," said Sun Jingwei, Deputy Manager of the Shenyang International Port Business Department.
Nowadays, the assembly center's cargo sources are no longer limited to Northeast China but have expanded to key economic regions such as Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, the Yangtze River Delta, and the Pearl River Delta. Together with China Railway Container Transport Co., Ltd., it has built an efficient "1+6+10+N" collection and distribution system, achieving full coverage of "three corridors and six ports" via Manzhouli, Suifenhe, and other border crossings. It has established 10 overseas terminal stations in cities such as Hamburg, Duisburg, and Moscow, with a network covering over 50 cities in more than 20 countries, and has transported over 5,000 types of goods.
Relying on the efficient "1+6+10+N" collection and distribution system, this center has achieved full coverage of "three corridors and six ports" via Manzhouli, Suifenhe, and other border crossings. It has established 10 overseas terminal stations in cities such as Hamburg, Duisburg, and Moscow, with a network covering over 50 cities in more than 20 countries, and has transported over 5,000 types of goods. In one corner of the cargo yard, a foreign trade company manager from Zhejiang was coordinating a batch of electronic products destined for Europe. "We chose Shenyang because of its network coverage and time efficiency," he said. In the past, goods had to detour through Ningbo; now, they are directly transported to Shenyang for assembly and exit via Manzhouli, saving three to four days.
Relying on the multimodal transport development alliance of the three northeastern provinces and one region, Shenyang Railway Group prioritizes container allocation and vehicle allocation for the China-Europe Railway Express. The value of goods transported from Northeast China accounts for nearly 70% of the train's cargo. Meanwhile, the Puhe to Guangzhou International Port train reaches the Greater Bay Area in 38 hours, and the Shenyang to Bely Rast premium train covers 8,000 kilometers in 10 days to reach Russia. The opening of new routes has made this logistics network increasingly dense.
The convenient and efficient international logistics channels are attracting more high-end industries to gather in Shenyang. Cross-border e-commerce goods are directly transported to Europe through "door-to-door" international railway services. A batch of new energy vehicle parts and consumer electronics companies are accelerating their settlement, directly benefiting nearly 100 enterprises and effectively reducing regional logistics costs. The exploration of new business models such as "train + cold chain" also allows high-quality agricultural products from Northeast China to reach the world more conveniently. Leveraging its geographical advantage of proximity to Japan and South Korea and connection to Eurasia, the assembly center is continuously improving bonded logistics and facilitating the transshipment of goods from relevant countries to Europe via the China-Europe Railway Express. Since the beginning of this year, the assembly center has operated 81 round-trip trains, a year-on-year increase of 170%. (End)
