Huangshi Maritime Bureau Ezhou Maritime Safety Administration ensured the safety of 28 new energy vessels this year.

On July 30, under the full escort of the on-site law enforcement unit, the newly built LNG-powered vessel "Yuyang**" by Hechuang Heavy Industry smoothly slid into the Yangtze River and successfully launched. This is the 28th new energy vessel successfully escorted for launch by the Ezhou Maritime Office since 2026.

Launch Site: Full Protection to Build a Solid Safety Line

As one of the major private shipbuilding enterprises in Hubei Province, Hechuang Heavy Industry in the Ezhou Maritime Office jurisdiction is fully seizing the opportunity in the green intelligent shipbuilding industry. The proportion of new energy vessel orders has exceeded 90%, with over 100 vessels under construction and on order, showcasing strong production momentum. The "Yuyang**" vessel launched this time has a total length of 129.97 meters, a width of 16.26 meters, a depth of 7.2 meters, and a deadweight tonnage of 12,484 tons. Powered by clean and low-carbon LNG, it represents another new product in the green iterative upgrade of inland vessels. On the launch day, Ezhou Maritime Office law enforcement personnel arrived at the site one hour in advance aboard the "Marine Patrol 12216" vessel, issued safety information 10 times via very high frequency, implemented point-to-point reminders for passing vessels upstream and downstream, and precisely guided vessel traffic to create a safe "buffer zone" and "window period" for the launch operation of the "Yuyang**" vessel.

Chain Service: Full-Cycle Escort for Green Shipbuilding

"Service assurance must stay ahead of shipbuilding enterprise needs." Since the beginning of this year, the Ezhou Maritime Office has deeply aligned with the production plans of shipyards in its jurisdiction, establishing a closed-loop service mechanism of "early involvement, full-process maintenance, and service extension," forming a "chain-style" regulatory service framework from launch operation navigation assurance to trial sailing and delivery.

As of July 30, the Ezhou Maritime Office has cumulatively ensured the launch of 28 new energy vessels over 10,000 tons in its jurisdiction, safely maintaining a total tonnage of over 350,000 tons. It has dispatched law enforcement personnel 71 times, marine patrol vessels 32 times, and issued over 270 safety warning messages. To address the navigation pressure potentially caused by the intensive launch of new vessels, the Ezhou Maritime Office conducted scientific assessments and proactive responses, organizing shipyards and shipping enterprises in advance to hold safety coordination meetings, refining "one vessel, one plan" maintenance schemes, and achieving precise point-to-point control of key vessels. By leveraging intelligent management platforms and CCTV systems for remote dynamic monitoring, it has achieved efficient coordination between remote command and on-site control. Based on shipyard launch plans, operations are scheduled to avoid peak times, minimizing navigation impact and ensuring smooth launch operations and orderly vessel navigation.

From traditional diesel power to LNG, methanol, and other diverse clean energy power options, the Ezhou Maritime Office jurisdiction is accelerating its transformation into a hub for building green intelligent inland vessels.
