Five state-owned enterprises have joined forces! The China Multimodal Transport Development Alliance was established in Beijing.
China News Service, Beijing, April 29 (Reporter Li Jingtong) On the morning of April 29, the China Multimodal Transport Development Alliance was established in Beijing. The alliance, led by the China State Railway Group Co., Ltd., was jointly initiated by four key central enterprises in China's logistics sector, including China COSCO Shipping Corporation Limited, China Merchants Group Limited, China Logistics Group Limited, and China Digital Logistics Information Limited. It aims to create a national, cross-industry, open, and non-profit enterprise collaboration platform to address the challenges and bottlenecks in the development of multimodal transport in China, promote high-quality development of multimodal transport, and help reduce logistics costs and improve efficiency.
It is understood that the China Multimodal Transport Development Alliance is collaboratively building an operational support system of "three platforms and one hotline," namely, three collaborative platforms for rail-water intermodal transport, rail-road intermodal transport, and technological innovation, as well as the 95306 National Multimodal Transport Hotline.
The rail-water intermodal transport collaborative platform is responsible for tasks such as formulating rail-water intermodal transport collaboration rules, analyzing market demand, researching innovative models, planning channel networks, building rail-water intermodal transport channels with "block trains + liner ships," designing and promoting products, and facilitating digital collaboration and integration. Regional working groups will be established in major coastal and riverside areas to comprehensively enhance the level of rail-water intermodal transport collaboration.
The rail-road intermodal transport collaborative platform primarily focuses on rail-road intermodal logistics operations based on railway logistics hubs. It aims to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of drivers, promote the sustainable and healthy development of the industry, and actively advance key initiatives such as building driver service centers at logistics nodes, breaking down data barriers in rail-road intermodal transport, jointly building and sharing warehouse resource pools, promoting the application of rail-road intermodal pallets, advancing rail-road intermodal technology research and development, and accelerating the construction of new energy charging and swapping stations. These efforts aim to transform rail-road intermodal transport into a green, low-carbon, intensive, and efficient model.
The technological innovation collaborative platform is responsible for tracking the development trends of multimodal transport technologies domestically and internationally. It integrates innovative resources and conducts joint research around areas such as intermodal standards, facility development, equipment innovation, green intelligence, and data sharing, promoting the application of innovative achievements.
The 95306 National Multimodal Transport Hotline is built upon the service resources of member units. It provides customers with one-stop comprehensive services such as multimodal transport business consultation, demand acceptance, issue handling, and feedback. It achieves "one-number response, coordinated handling, and a closed-loop process," jointly constructing a unified, convenient, and efficient integrated multimodal transport customer service system to improve logistics quality and efficiency.
The first batch of member units of the alliance joined by invitation, totaling 66, covering leading enterprises and institutions in China's railway, shipping, port, highway, comprehensive logistics, and logistics research sectors. Subsequent member units can apply to join on a voluntary basis. (End)
