Today, the domestic 5mm float glass market price trend showed differentiation. Among them, the production and sales in North China increased, and the demand for replenishment caused the spot trading to increase, and the manufacturer's quotation increased; while the shipment performance in South China and East China was poor, and the price was loose; the price in Southwest China dropped significantly by 40 yuan/ton, the enthusiasm for inquiry was insufficient, and the downstream demand was weak; the prices in other regions remained stable for the time being, and some companies made appropriate concessions. At present, the supply of float glass market is relatively sufficient, but the demand side is generally performing. Downstream companies still maintain the rhythm of on-demand procurement, and the overall market fundamentals are still weak.

Futures dynamics
According to Boduoduo data: On March 17, the opening price of the main glass contract FG2505 was 1163 yuan/ton, and finally closed at 1172 yuan/ton, with a daily increase of 1.56%. The highest price was 1198 yuan/ton and the lowest price was 1152 yuan/ton. The position was 1551525 lots, an increase of 16700 lots month-on-month.

Today, glass futures prices fell back narrowly after rising. After the futures prices showed signs of stabilization last week, the production and sales in the core areas of the spot market were boosted over the weekend, and the factory quotations showed signs of stabilization and recovery. In addition, the operating rate of downstream deep processing enterprises has rebounded, and the contradiction of insufficient actual demand has shown marginal improvement. Futures prices rebounded slightly, but the sustainability needs to be observed. The focus in the future will still be on the recovery of actual demand in the peak season of the industry.

Market forecast
The production lines that were ignited in the early stage will release production one after another, and the supply will remain at a high level; while the downstream has a small amount of rigid demand for replenishment, and the enthusiasm for taking goods is limited, waiting for new drivers; the profits of some glass companies have been compressed, and it is expected that the float glass market will still be weak in the short term.
