The 3rd Belt and Road Cultural and Technological Integration Development Conference, held on November 18 in Beijing’s Changping District, gathered over 400 delegates from 15 countries and diverse sectors—including government, academia, heritage institutions, and tech enterprises—under the theme “A New Ecosystem of AI+ Cultural Technology from an International Perspective.” Co-organized by leading Chinese think tanks and cultural entities, the event emphasized deepening civilizational exchange, driving cultural-tourism digital transformation, and scaling global collaboration. Hao Fang of IBI and Cultural Tourism Duoduo highlighted AI’s role as a “warm bridge” for heritage preservation and cross-cultural connection, showcasing innovations in IP activation, experiential reconstruction, and traffic amplification across “cultural tourism + industry/digitization/sports.” The conference aims to build a Belt and Road cultural-tourism digital community and establish a world-class integrated production-culture-tourism model.
