The Pakistan Regional Economic Forum (PREF) delegation, led by former State Minister Haroon Sharif, visited IBITDD on January 12 for high-level talks on advancing China-Pakistan economic cooperation under the CPEC and Belt and Road Initiative. Discussions focused on industrial digitization, cross-border e-commerce, supply chain integration, and digital empowerment of bilateral trade. The delegation toured IBI’s Digital Economy Exhibition Hall, learning about the Duoduo platform, Guolian Cloud, and cluster-based cross-border strategies. Sharif praised IBI’s industrial internet innovations and highlighted Pakistan’s resource advantages and collaboration potential in agriculture, textiles, minerals, and infrastructure. Liu Zhai, IBI Senior VP and TDD CEO, announced plans to establish a regional digital economy headquarters in Pakistan this year to deepen local industrial integration and foster win-win digital cooperation. Senior Pakistani officials and IBI leadership jointly participated.
