From Sept. 1–10, IBI deepened China-Pakistan cooperation through high-level engagements, including a strategic meeting with PM Shehbaz Sharif; co-hosting the China-Pakistan B2B Investment Summit—marking the launch of “CPEC 2.0” driven by enterprise investment; and jointly showcasing “Digital Pakistan” at CIFTIS with 15 major Pakistani firms. IBI outlined concrete initiatives: building a bilateral cross-border e-commerce platform, modernizing Pakistan’s digital supply chain via smart logistics and warehousing, and digitizing customs, tax, finance, and port processes. PM Sharif endorsed IBI’s capabilities, directed key ministries to fast-track collaboration, and invited IBI for on-site consultations. The partnership aims to boost Pakistan’s industrial digitalization—especially in mining, agriculture, IT, and chemicals—and advance a shared destiny through Belt and Road–aligned digital infrastructure and trade empowerment.
